Local Attractions

The Village of Canal Winchester has four areas that have been placed on the National Register of Historic Places within the village.  

Located in the CW Area Historical Society complex is an 1850-era school, a historic grain elevator, and a beautiful Train Depot "The Queen of the Line" built in 1869.  

Just down the road is the Bergstresser-Dietz covered bridge built in March of 1887.  

We also have a Barber Museum, a Doll & Toy Museum, and within a few miles, Slate Run Living Historical Farm and Slate Run Vineyard and Winery.  In neighboring Lithopolis is the beautiful Wagnalls Memorial and Library and in neighboring Groveport is Mott's Military Museum all are must see attractions if you are visiting the area for any length of time.

Downtown Columbus and Lancaster are a mere 20 minute drive from our beautiful Village.
